Mutant Football Makes a Comeback

Michael Mendheim, creator and designer of Mutant Football League, has started a Kickstarter to bring this classic series back. The goal is to bring back to life the fun of the Sega Genesis title. The campaign is seeking $750,000 dollars in order to create iOS, Android, and Xbox Live versions.

Some great people have signed onto the project. Dave Devries of The Monster Engine as visual art director, Chicago mobile studio Robomodo for game art direction and production, comic writer and artist Dave Elliott will design the world and characters, and Jay Lender to help with story and design.
The projected release date for the game, if funded, is September 2014 for iOS and July 2015 for Xbox Live.

I am really excited for this. I enjoyed playing the Mutant League games on my genesis so I look forward to this game. If this gets made maybe we can hope for a hockey game as well.

    1. Exactly! It is awesome to see some of these comebacks. I wonder if it is too much to hope for a new Friday 13th.
