Recap: Eric and Pam head to Shreveport to look for Willa. They end up at Bill’s to join the others to
fight the Hep-V vampires at Fangtasia. Sookie
tries to comfort Arlene’s kids and promises that she will rescue her. She also helps Holly remember where the Hep-V
vampires held the captives. James gets
Bill involved to encourage Jessica to eat. She is still feeling remorse for killing three
of Andy’s daughters. Jessica finally
feeds off of Lafayette.
We got to see flashbacks of how Eric and Pam met Ginger in 1996 when they were running a video store. We also find out that Pam stole Ginger’s idea for Fangtasia back in 2006 to impress Eric, then glamoured Ginger, so she wouldn’t remember. Arlene survives a Hep-V vampire attack by drinking vampire blood, despite her visions of her deceased husband Terry telling her to go with him. Bill and company win the fight at Fangtasia and the surviving captives are rescued.
Review: Yay! The surviving captives were rescued. Aside from watching
Eric’s hairstyles evolve during the flashbacks, this episode was not
interesting. Nothing notable happened
except for getting Arlene back as promised.
Having Arlene talk to a dead Terry was utterly ridiculous and
unconvincing. When Terry tells her to
live, it was just like, “Oh, ok. I guess I’ll stay.” Early in the episode, it was also awkward and strange to have Sookie and Jason notifying next of kin for those that were killed.
Horrible. It is getting worse each week. I have invested years into this series, so I
am not going to stop watching now that it is ending. I’m just having a hard time getting through
it.
My question this week is: Really?
