Welcome to this week's installment of Gamer Corner, where Fangirl Review interviews a gamer and gets her thoughts on the gaming world and learn what she is enjoying at the moment.

Tell me a little bit about yourself?

10 years my boyfriend was playing his Playstation 2 and he was taking over the tv,so I joined in on it and got myself a playstation also. We bought a game call Socom; it was wicked. Then when the Xbox 360 come out we bought it. At the time we were playing Ghost Recon etc .years went by then Call of Duty 4 came out then World of War, MW2, Black Ops, MW3, Black Ops 2, and now Ghost I just love COD games, and when I  am not doing my womanly duty around the home I love getting my hair/ nails done and yes I play with long nails. lol

What rig do you currently game on?

Xbox 360/Xbox one

What game are you currently playing right now? 

Call of Duty Ghosts

Do you enjoy that game, why? How’s the overall game play?

Yes I enjoy the game, the overall game play is awesome but other players don't seem to play the game mode the right way, lol

Would you recommend it?

Big fat yes! lol

Are there any games coming out that you are looking forward to?

All the games I'll buy in the future will be on Xbox One. I might try Fable Legends, Battlefield 4 - never been a fan of Battlefield 4 but I tried the beta and like it so I will buy that for Xbox1.

What kind of gamer do you classify yourself to be? ie. PC, Console, Tabletop, LARP as well as Hardcore, RPG, etc.

Console, hardcore gamer I like to play and win not mess around in a game.

So with the new consoles coming out, which way are you leaning One or 4? (Ignore if you are a PC gamer)

What are your thoughts on the gaming industry?

I really don't have thoughts but I will say they do not need to price things high ie like Xbox One £430 they make millions as it is but I'll still buy one, lol.

If you had the power, what direction would you have the gaming industry go?

I don't really know, it seems to be going well, but when people get caught hacking/cheating they can just make another account because Xbox live gives a 1 month free - they should stop that.

10 years from now, where do you see the industry? Are you happy with that direction?

 Yes I am happy.

Favorite Game (can include tabletop) of all time and why? 

I play random games on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini like card games also I like Pou.

Smash Bros.: Dark Emperor Revealed

The Dark Emperor is coming to the Smash Bros. Universe. The Dark Emperor, the final boss in the 3DS game Find Mii II, will be making an appearance in the new Super Smash Bros.

Sakurai has updated the followers of Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS once again with another in-game screenshot taken during development. This time the image is of most likely a 3DS exclusive character. A Find Mii II based stage can also be seen in the background featuring the famous cage from the game. It has not been revealed what role the Dark Emperor will be playing in Super Smash Bros. but most fans assume that he will be a 3DS exclusive boss. 

The Simpsons: Major Character Death

There is whispering about who will be the major character death. Many believe it might be Sideshow Bob as the major "Simpsons" character. Apparently Kelsey Grammer is unaware. When asked about the death he responded, "Not to my knowledge," he says. The odds on it being Bob are fairly small, because even Kelsey admits that death is something new to Krusty the Clown's former sidekick. "They've already killed him 20 times," he jokes. "He comes back a lot."

What has been revealed by executive producer Al Jean is that the character dying has won the actor who voiced it an Emmy Award. The best bet is a guest star, which means Rabbi Hyman Krustofski (Jackie Mason), Princess Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and Sideshow Bob. However, the main characters have also won the award, along with Edna Krabappel and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.

So who do you think will die?

Super Mario 3D World Review

This time around you are not saving the princess but instead you are saving fairy sprites that Bowser has taken captive and placed in bottles. He is just a big bully. You will find yourself facing Bowser or the Bowser kids as always. My question is where is the mom to all these Bowser kids.

The game is visually pleasing. It truly takes everything that was great about Super Mario Galaxy and combines it with the multiplayer aspects of New Super Mario Bros. U. Super Mario Galaxy is one of my all time favorites and I enjoyed the different worlds that reminded me of the set up for Super Mario World. Princess Peach is now a playable character. The one problem is that you cannot use 4 Wiimotes. You are forced to play 3 Wiimotes and the gamepad. I did not like that the only way to play four players is to use the gamepad but it is a small thing to fuss about. 

I had the chance to play the game with four players to get the full effect of the madness of 3D. Let me tell you there were many deaths. One drawback is that you have shared lives. So if you have stayed alive the whole game and die when your counterparts have been going through the lives like it is water you may find yourself on the outside looking in. I did not enjoy the shared life aspect. If I stayed alive and you have used all the lives I should not be penalized for all your deaths.

The new suit for this game is the cat suit. It allows for you climb up walls and claw certain switches. I also like that at the end of the level you can climb to the top of the flag pole and always get a perfect score. 

Overall the game play is good. I wish there were more uses of the gamepad. The worlds were different and interesting with some worlds specifically designed for single player. One of my favorite boards was early on and you had to ride a dinosaur through the water and work with your counterparts to control the dinosaur. It is interesting and trust me that dinosaur died a few times. I would recommend this game as it is fun to scream at your friends and family members as you play and die repeatedly. 

The Walking Dead Season 4, Ep. 8 “Too Far Gone” Review

 (Midseason Finale) Important Moments:

The Governor is talking to his crew. He makes a great speech about how they need to take the prison. The governor captured Hershel and Michonne. He claims he wants to take the prison without killing anyone… yeah okay! The governor paints a story of how bad the people in the prison are. He is a great motivational leader as everyone chimes in that they are in.

The governor is talking to Hershel  and Michonne. He claims he does not want to hurt anyone and he wants them to help him take the prison peacefully. Hershel says they can find a way to live together. Michonne says she wants to kill him. Hershel tries to talk to the governor but he is not willing to listen. The governor’s chippie Lillie is trying to talk him out of the potential killing spree. In the prison Maggie and Glen are talking. Darryl is upset about Carol. Rick and Darryl are whispering about the situation. They are both scared to tell Tyrese. Rick and Darryl go to find Tyese. He shows them a rat that has been mutilated. Before they can tell him about Carol the prison is under attack. The governor has a tank. They show the prison that they have Hershel and Michonne. The governor requests a talk with Rick.

Darryl talks about if things go bad that everyone should head to the bus. Rick goes to talk to the governor. The governor tells him they have to sundown to get out or they die. The gang is getting armed. At the governor’s camp Lillie watches a walker trying to cross the river. Megan finds a sign that says flash flood warning and a walker comes out of the mud. She gets bit by the zombie. Carl just wants to shoot the governor and end it now. Rick makes the offer to live together. The governor refuses to accept the deal. Rick says they are not leaving. The governor does not like what Rick is saying and holds a sword to Hershel's neck. Rick says everything from the past can be let go and they can all join together. The governor says no and kills Hershel by cutting his throat. Michonne makes a run for it with her hands tied. The governor beheads Hershel. Lillie brings Megan's body to the gun fight. The governor shoots her in the head and keeps moving. The governor says to go through the fence and kill them all.

They take down the fence and come in with the cars. The prison stars to fall back and run for the bus. Rick and the governor are fighting. Maggie runs to get Glen. Beth did not get on the bus and they see the bus drive off. The kids have guns and take out two people and save Tyrese. They did not get on the bus and took Carol's approach of protecting themselves. They have Judith with them. Rick and the Governor are still fighting. Michonne ends it by stabbing the governor and saving Rick. The prison is becoming over run by walkers. Rick is trying to find Carl and finds him with a shotgun. Carl doesn't know where Judith is. They find her carrier abandoned with blood on it. They flee the prison. Lillie shows up with a gun and finishes off the governor. The prison is now completely over run by zombies. 

My Thoughts:

Okay now that he captured people are we going to get the Governor from the graphic novel that rapes and beheads people. They have watered him down for television. Really! He has Michonne and Hershel peacefully tied up. No! He needs to be torturing them. They have humanized the Governor way too much.  

Raise your hand if you were not sadden by Megan being bit by a zombie. You would figure after the girl was just attacked by a zombie that the mother would keep a better eye on her. I mean come on. Finally the governor beheads someone. Not the correct person but I will take it. Hershel should have died on the farm not Dale so I am happy to see him go. Not as much death as I would like and you know that baby is still alive. Now the group is separated. Rick and Carl are together and I wonder if this is the time that Carl has to completely take care of Rick until he gets himself back together again like in the graphic novel. 

Okay the prison is a loss now they will be on the road and I guess this is when they will meet Abraham and his group. I look forward to seeing the new addition to the group.  

Once Upon a Time Season 3, Ep. 9 “Save Henry” Review

Important Moments:

Flashback of the day of the curse. Regina is happy about the curse and is talking to Rumplestilskin. He points out that there is a hole in her heart and that she will come to him to fill it. Present day and everyone is around Henry. Pan points out that Rumple is in the box and he floats away. Flashback to 11 years ago. Regina is talking to Jiminy and points out how she is feeling nothing. He points out that she may be feeling a hole and that she has no one to share her life with. Regina goes to Gold about a child. He agrees to get her a child.

Present day of Regina putting a stasis spell on Henry. She is breaking down and upset about Henry. Regina points out that Pan can bleed therefore he can die. Flashback of Regina speaking to Gold about getting a baby boy. She is in the interview with the adoption agency. She gets to hold Henry for the first time. She named him Henry after her father. Present day Emma is speaking to the Lost Boys and trying to get them to see reason. She offers to take them home. The boys let her know that he is at his Thinking Tree.

Flashback of Regina trying to take care of Henry. She takes him to the hospital but there is nothing wrong with him. Regina tries to find the information about the biological parents. She gave Henry to Snow to carry and he immediately stops crying. She is upset to realize that she cannot comfort her son. Regina gets information about her son. Regina realizes that mother was found in the woods outside of Storybrook. She confronts Gold about knowing the mother of Henry. She says she wants Henry to go back to Boston.

Present day. Emma, Regina, and Snow are captured. Flashback of Regina returning Henry to the adoption agency. In the end she decides to keep Henry even knowing the consequences. The other adoptive parents for Henry were Wendy’s brothers. Present day, Pan lets the girls know about Rumple being his son. The tree holds down people with regrets. Regina kindly points out all the bad things she has done and how she has no regrets. She breaks free and rips out Pan’s heart. Regina puts Henry's heart back in him. Flashback of Regina talking to Jiminy. She expresses concern that Henry's birth mother will come back and take Henry back. Regina is in her dungeon and is telling a story to Henry. Regina makes a potion to forget her troubles and fears.

Present day of Regina putting a spell on Henry that will protect his heart. Pan shows up while Henry is alone. They let Rumple out of the box. A beautiful reunion of Rumple and Neal. Pan cannot take Henry's heart. He instead tries to rip off Henry's shadow. Henry and Pan's eyes do a weird flashing thing. Gold is able to trap Pan into the box. Regina uses Pan's shadow to tie him to the sail so they can leave Neverland. Wendy gives Tinkerbell some pixie dust. Henry tries to make peace with one of the lost boys. Henry says Pan never fails. Apparently Pan switched with Henry and now is in Henry's body. Uh Oh!

My Thoughts: 

I just do not understand why everyone deals with Rumple. They know that he is bad and that in the end he will screw them. I really hope that Emma making a promise to take the boys home really works out. If she does not hold to her word then she will be considered a jerk. I like that we got to see the background story of Regina taking care of Henry. Emma and Snow always seems to forget that Regina did a lot for Henry. If she did not bring Henry to Storybook then who knows how the story would have turned out.

I will keep saying this, I respect Regina. She does what is necessary. I know she might destroy other people in her path but she does it all for her own happiness and sometimes it just needs to be done that way. I love that she was the one to rip out Pan’s heart. I truly think of Regina as Henry's true mother.

Raise your hand if you think the flash in Henry and Pan's eyes will mean something bad. I knew that eye flash will be bad. Pan is now in Storybrook and is ready to cause some trouble.
