Destiny Collectibles from McFarlane and Bungie


MCFARLANE TOYS LINKS UP WITH BUNGIE TO BECOME LEGEND AND CREATE TOYS BASED OFF THE SMASH HIT VIDEO GAME DESTINY

In a collaboration of legendary proportions, McFarlane Toys is proud to announce that it is once again partnering with Bungie – this time to create Guardian action figures for Destiny, scheduled for release this summer.

Developed by Bungie and published by Activision, Destiny is a first-person action shooter that features cinematics storytelling alongside cooperative and competitive gameplay. Players create a unique character and become legend through completing a series of shared activities in a social world. Destiny has entertained a legion of engaged players across more than 30 million unique accounts since its initial release in September 2014.

Best known for attention to detail and immense creativity, McFarlane Toys has produced action figures and construction sets for some of the biggest properties in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. This upcoming partnership with the creators of Destiny will not only continue that tradition but expand on it. Fans of the emerging action franchise can look forward to a new selection of game-accurate action figures, 10-inch figures, and role play items.

McFarlane Toys’ initial wave of Destiny toys will include fully articulated figures that depict Guardian Classes, including the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock. These figures will debut in new window box collector packaging and will come with a Destiny branded detailed base.

“Detail, depth, and customization, that’s what Destiny gives its players, and that’s what made it the biggest new video game franchise launch,” said Todd McFarlane, Owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys. “With our upcoming Destiny line, fans can expect that same amount of detail and customization that we have built our own reputation on.”

Pop! Games: Overwatch Pop Figures Wave 2 Announced


Overwatch fans can rejoice! The Wave 2 Pop figures were recently announced for Overwatch. At the 2017 London Toy Fair, fans were given the chance to see the first images of the Pop figures to be released.

Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter that was released in May 2016 by Blizzard. The squad-based combat of two opposing teams is always a winning style but what made Overwatch so great is the each character brings their own unique abilities and role classes. There are many characters to choose from so a player must decide which is best based on their fighting style. 




The classes include:

· Offense Characters – are characters with high speed and attack but have low HP (hit points) to balance
· Defense Characters – are characters with a large number of tactical options and can control specific areas with mines and turrets
· Support Characters – are utility characters that have abilities to enhance the team such as healing and/or damage the other team with speed alteration.
· Tank Characters – are characters with a large amount of HP and can draw fire from their teammates 


In Wave 2 fans can be expected to see Mei, McCree, Lucio, Symmetra, Reinhardt (6”) and D.V.A & 6” Meka. The D.V.A & 6” Meka looks like the Pop figure to collect in this wave. So be on the look out for that particular one because it will more than likely sell out quick. The series is slated for a 2017 release date but no specific date has been released as of yet.

DARK HORSE HAS AN “INKLING” ABOUT SPLATOON FANS


Publisher to Release “The Art of Splatoon” in 2017

After the overwhelming success of 2013’s The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia and 2016’s The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening, Dark Horse is excited to expand their publishing partnership with Nintendo® to include an English-language edition of The Art of Splatoon™. 


The Art of Splatoon is based on Nintendo’s 2015 award-winning game for the Wii U console where players control squid-like characters called Inklings. Inklings have the ability to shift between humanoid and squid form and back again. Inklings shoot their team’s color to claim territory or “splat” opposing players. After the Second Siege of Meereen, Daenerys Targaryen names Tyrion Lannister as her official Hand of the Queen to honor his loyalty and governance of Meereen during her absence. Sanrio Launches Premier hello sanrio Collection


Partners with Loot Crate, Girl Skateboards, Lakai & McDonald’s and others on
Product and Promotions to hit retail mid-November

Sanrio, the global lifestyle brand best known for beloved pop icon, Hello Kitty, announces the launch of the first hello sanrio product collection just in time for the holidays! The colorful pop capsule collection includes fashion apparel, lifestyle accessories and signature Sanrio items and will launch November 18 at select Sanrio stores nationwide; followed by the rollout of additional hello sanrio products at BoxLunch, Zumiez, JapanLA and sanrio.com through the Holiday season. Pieces from the supercute collection will also be available globally at select Sanrio stores.

Lively graphics & patterns highlight the hello sanrio collection, featuring character rich prints that bring the world of hello sanrio to life. L.A. based artist and Youtube phenom That Poppy is the face of the new hello sanrio collection. Poppy will be making appearances at launch events for the new brand; dates and times to be announced soon. Sanrio has also collaborated with UK-based design duo TADO to create digital shorts that showcase the characters and explore the colorful hello sanrio world. To celebrate the launch, Sanrio & BoxLunch will host an in-store event at the Powell Street pop-up store in San Francisco, on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10. Announcing the 2011 Hellboy Reserve Pinot Noir, Just in Time for Halloween


Dark Horse Comics and Portland, Oregon’s Stoller Family Estates Winery have collaborated to create the 2011 Hellboy Reserve Pinot Noir, which will be available on Halloween and is available for pre-order now.

“I can’t imagine a more fitting drink to both celebrate Mike Mignola‘s creative legacy and honor his most famous creation,” said Mike Richardson, President of Dark Horse Comics. “And it’s only fitting that the first time that fans can raise a glass of Hellboy Reserve Pinot Noir will be on Halloween.”

Hello Kitty is throwing her bow into the ring again, as she announces her 2016 bid for President of the United States. The global pop icon kicks off her Hello Kitty for President campaign this month, leading the “Friendship Party” with a message celebrating friendship, fun and happiness. Fan favorite, Chococat, has been appointed her running mate.

As the Hello Kitty for President campaign kicks off, so will the capsule collection of supercute merchandise designed for fans of all ages. The Hello Kitty for Presidentcollection includes unisex t-shirts featuring colorful campaign slogans, as well as a Hello Kitty for President 4-piece button set, canvas tote bag, beverage koozie, and trucker hat, and will be available at select Sanrio stores as well as Sanrio.com.
