I wanted to take a moment and reflect on how excited I am for the latest installment of Ys. I fell in love with Ys VIII. I know I was late to the franchise but when I picked up the video game for my Nintendo Switch it was the most amazing thing ever. Now I am addicted to the franchise and I cannot wait for the latest one. I just have to sadly accept that I will have to purchase it for the PS4 as it comes on there first.

Resident Evil Revelations Drops Anchor, Boards PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Now!

The acclaimed survival horror game Resident Evil Revelations debuts on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One across North America digitally and at retail today for MSRP $19.99. Known for its narrative twists and turns, the story unravels like a television show, told in an episodic format as more of the mysterious plot is revealed from the perspective of several different playable characters. This entry stars series’ veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate the reportedly abandoned “Queen Zenobia” cruise ship.

For series newcomers, Resident Evil Revelations game director, Kōshi Nakanishi, also directed this year’s acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard game, making this a great way to be further immersed into the world of survival horror! This release marks the best-looking version of the game to date with HD visuals and an improved framerate. All previously released downloadable content is also included in the game as unlockable rewards.

The highly replayable online co-op Raid Mode returns in this release with a newly remixed, challenging stage called The Ghost Ship: Chaos, offering a fresh take on the popular map with more powerful weapons and ways for players to upgrade their arsenal.

A Nintendo Switch release of both Resident Evil Revelations and its follow up Resident Evil Revelations 2 will also be available in late 2017.

Resident Evil Revelations Docks August 29 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Late 2017 on Nintendo Switch

Now updated for current generation consoles, Resident Evil Revelations is the acclaimed survival horror title featuring series veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate the reportedly abandoned “Queen Zenobia” cruise ship. This new version features a smoother 1920x1080 resolution, an improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement, defining the best-looking version of the game to date. All previously released downloadable content is also included in the game as unlockable rewards.

Take on hordes of enemies with a friend online in the returning Raid Mode, which includes “The Ghost Ship: Chaos,” a fresh take on the popular stage with more powerful weapons and ways for players to upgrade their arsenal, and remixed enemy placements for an added challenge. Additionally, four controller schemes based on control types from across the entire series are available in this version of the game for a more flexible experience to accommodate different playstyles.

LATEST NieR: Automata TRAILER LOOKS AT THE DYSTOPIAN FUTURE IN YEAR 11945 AD

Set in the year 11945 AD, during the 14th Machine War, the new trailer for NieR: Automata™ depicts a desolate, post-apocalyptic world where androids fight machine lifeforms to reclaim the planet for their human masters. Gameplay
If Rock Band VR’s classic mode is about the pursuit of a note-perfect studio recording, Rock Band VR’s performance mode, illustrated in the above gameplay video, represents the creative freedom of a live concert where no two performances sound exactly the same. In this mode, players experiment with different chords, notes and strum speeds to develop their signature sound and make each performance their own. It’s a completely new kind of music gameplay, it’s perfectly suited to VR, and it’s unlike anything else Harmonix has ever created.

Underpinning the gameplay is an amazing sense of presence you can only get in VR. From the moment the player takes the stage, they’ll experience what it’s like to perform in front of sold out crowds – sweaty palms and all. To deliver this fantasy, Rock Band VR focused on the details – from working effects pedals to interacting with your bandmates to the ability to use your guitar to bang on the drummer’s hi-hat cymbal. It’s an incredibly immersive experience.

While the gameplay may have changed, scoring and leaderboards remain as central to the Rock Band experience as ever. Players will need to develop a mastery of Rock Band VR’s new gameplay mechanics if they want to claim a top spot. Chaining together chords and notes into musical phrases and combos will earn players points, while timely deployment of overdrive and signature rock moves, like head banging in time to the music, will trigger multipliers to boost scores even further, earning more stars. It’s a deep, complex system that rewards both technical proficiency and creativity.

Traditional Rock Band gameplay will have its own dedicated leaderboard at launch in Classic Mode.

Soundtrack
Rock Band has a history of amazing soundtracks and Rock Band VR is no exception. The Rock Band VR mixed reality gameplay video features the first songs confirmed to appear on the Rock Band VR soundtrack. They are:

SONY PICKS UP THE FILM RIGHTS TO A.D.: AFTER DEATH

Writer Scott Snyder and illustrator Jeff Lemire's A.D.: AFTER DEATH, a three-part epic series published by Image Comics, has been acquired by Sony in a significant deal in a multi-party bidding war, to be developed into a feature film. Snyder and Lemire will serve as Executive Producers on the project.

Josh Bratman of Immersive Pictures will work alongside Eric Fineman at Columbia to produce the film. Bratman is also developing Lemire and Dustin Nguyen's comic series DESCENDER into a feature film franchise.

A.D. is set in a future where a genetic cure for death has been found. One man, years after the discovery of the cure, starts to question everything, leading him on a mind-bending journey that will bring him face-to-face with his past and his own mortality.

A.D. is the first project Snyder and Lemire, longtime friends and both acclaimed and bestselling comic creators in their own right, have worked on together. This is the first project Lemire has illustrated that he has not also written. Book 1 was published November 2016, with Book 2 available December 21, 2016.

Snyder is a New York Times bestselling author and an Eisner and Harvey Award winning writer (AMERICAN VAMPIRE with Stephen King, SWAMP THING, BATMAN). His short story collection, VOODOO HEART, was published by Dial Press in 2006. The collection received starred reviews from Publishers Weeklyand Booklist, and was a Kirkus Reviews "Hot Debut" of the year. WYTCHES, his creator-owned Image Comics graphic novel series with illustrator Jock, is under option at New Regency with Plan B producing.

The deal for A.D.: AFTER DEATH was brokered by Angela Cheng Caplan of Cheng Caplan Company, Inc., along with Lemire's attorney Allison Binder of Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher, LLP and Snyder's attorney Lillian Laserson of Laserson Law.

Sora to be Available for Limited Time Only This Winter

SQUARE ENIX® announced that Sora, the beloved star of the KINGDOM HEARTS series, has been given an adorable WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY™ makeover, and will be available as free downloadable content for the game this winter.

Commemorating the release of KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue early next year, Sora will be available for download for a limited time only, appearing in his KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD outfit. Resident Evil 7 “KITCHEN” Demo Now Available for PlayStation VR

The intense Resident Evil 7 biohazard “KITCHEN” demo is available now alongside the release of PlayStation VR. The demo is included on a disc as part of the PlayStation VR headset package in North America and is available as a free download in Europe for PlayStation VR owners.

“KITCHEN” features a quick and intense glimpse of the immersive horror experience players can expect from Resident Evil 7 biohazard, when it releases on January 24, 2017. Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be one of the first AAA games to be completely playable in VR as an option from start to finish, or any part thereof, when it releases on PlayStation 4. The flexibility of the optional PlayStation VR Mode included with the game gives players complete control over how much they want to engage in the immersive and terrifying VR experience. In fact, players are able to use the same save data to play the game in either standard or PlayStation VR Mode at any point.

WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY COMES ALIVE IN PLAYABLE DEMO ARRIVING NEXT WEEK

Unveiled Opening Cinematic Combines CG Graphics with Traditional Japanese Animation

SQUARE ENIX® announced that on October 17 fans can preview the upcoming family-friendly title WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY™ via the free playable demo available for download at the PlayStation®Store.

The playable demo will allow players to experience heroes Reynn and Lann in their Lilikin and Jiant forms, meet various different Mirages and encounter a selection of iconic FINAL FANTASY® characters along the way, including Cloud, Lightning and Squall. Completing the demo allows players to battle and capture “Magitek Armor P” at the coliseum in the full version of the game.

The full-length animated opening cinematic for the title was also revealed, showcasing two distinct animation styles. It depicts Reynn and Lann, as they set foot into the magical world of Grymoire, battling menacing Mega Mirages and fighting alongside legendary FINAL FANTASY characters.

WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY will arrive on October 25 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system for $59.99. The Day One edition includes extra digital content including an exclusive Sephiroth summon and the Japanese voice-over option add-on.

DEUS EX: MANKIND DIVIDED JOINS THE PLAYSTATION4 PRO LAUNCH LINE UP

Square Enix® and Eidos®-Montréal announced that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™, is coming to the PlayStation®4 Pro (PS4®Pro) computer entertainment system. The game will be available on November 10 with the new console from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).

With PS4 Pro, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has had a whole new layer of detail added to it: overall resolution increased, aliasing reduced, reflective surfaces improved, and more detailed lighting effects implemented, all without compromising the frame rate or the gaming experience.
