Movie Review: LA. Slasher

Story Line:  Incensed by the tabloid culture which celebrates it, the L.A. Slasher publicly abducts a series of reality TV stars, while the media and general public in turn begin to question if society is better off without them. A biting, social satire about reality TV and the glorification of people who are famous for simply being famous, "L.A. Slasher" explores why it has become acceptable and even admirable for people to become influential and wealthy based on no merit or talent - purely through notoriety achieved through shameful behavior.

My Thoughts: This movie is filled with heavy hitters in terms of the names. You have Misha Barton, Dave Bautista, Andy Dick, Eric Roberts, amongst others.

This movie takes a look at the blood thirsty social media users. As the celebrities in Hollywood are kidnapped and killed on the internet more people tweet while the news sensationalizes it. The public eats it up and are disgusting enough to believe that the killer is doing the public a service by killing these famous individuals.

Overall the film makes you take a look at what we view as celebrities as well as our own harsh words used daily via social media. I enjoyed the concept behind this movie and happy that there is finally more original movies coming out. The remakes and sequels are getting to be a bit much lately.  Plus if you love horror trust me when I say that you get your blood and gore.

Great Moments: Anytime that you had Danny Trejo. He was awesome in this film and I enjoyed watching him. Also the score for this movie was perfect. I loved every song that was used and it was coupled perfectly with each scene. I would recommend seeing this movie and letting me know your thoughts.
