Gamer Corner: Bradford

Welcome to this week's installment of Gamer Corner, where Fangirl Review interviews a gamer and gets his thoughts on the gaming world and learn what he is enjoying at the moment.

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself?

My name is Bradford White, I am an aspiring video game developer/game audio designer, that is stuck in the tech support field. I have attained my Bachelors degree in Video Game Design from Collins College.

2. What rig do you currently game on?

I currently play on the Wii U, PS Vita, 3DS, on my HP Envy laptop, but mostly PS3 and Xbox 360.

3. What game are you currently playing right now?

I am currently playing Grand Theft Auto (360), Beyond: Two Souls (PS3 duh), and Pokemon X (3DS duh).

4. Do you enjoy that game, why? How’s the overall game play?

I am currently enjoying all 3. Doing missions and heists with friends online is a blast in GTA. Beyond: Two Souls just blends cinematic acting, story, and logical gameplay all together in a great package. Pokemon is just amazing to finally have it in 3d.
5. Would you recommend it?

I would highly recommend all 3 games.

6. Are there any games coming out that you are looking forward to?

I am currently waiting for Watch Dogs, Destiny, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, and the Crew.

7. What kind of gamer do you classify yourself to be? ie. PC, Console, Tabletop, LARP as well as Hardcore, RPG, etc.

Its hard to classify myself. I play just about any time of game save for LARP (haven't tried) and most sports games (only play boxing and NBA 2k).

8. So with the new consoles coming out, which way are you leaning One or 4? (Ignore if you are a PC gamer)

I am getting both on day 1 but I think the PS4 will be my primary this go round.

9. What are your thoughts on the gaming industry?

I am a little sad that the gaming industry is so reliant on the yearly release of franchises that they do not get enough time to live up to the potential that they can. I want more of the GTAs, Skyrims, Fallouts, and less of the yearly Call of Duty, Need for Speeds, and Assassins Creeds. Not that they are bad games but I just think they could be a lot better.

10. If you had the power, what direction would you have the gaming industry go?

I would give the developers more creative control and less financial worries and obligations. Also make it more stable in terms of jobs, I am so tired of hearing these studios making millions on top of millions laying off teams.

11. 10 years from now, where do you see the industry? Are you happy with that direction?

I see the industry catering more to mobile and casual gamers. I do not really like that direction. Games are becoming cake walks (for the most part).

12. Favorite Game (can include tabletop) of all time and why?

My favorite game of all time so far would have to be Uncharted 2. I think that game had a perfect blend of action, platforming, puzzles, great voice acting, cut scenes. I just didn’t get tired of anything in that game.

13. Additional Thoughts and Comments?

You have a great site, keep up the great work!

14. Would you like to share your gamer tag and the system so others may add you?

My gamer tag on XBL is xKTGx L3jay87, on Steam, PSN, Origin, and the Wii U it is just L3jay87.

Thank you to Bradford for a great interview. If you would like to be interviewed for Gamer Corner please contact me at fangirlcontact@gmail.com

Allegiant: Book Review

Allegiant by Veronica Roth was released on 10/22/2013 and is the third and final book in the Divergent series.

Amazon Overview: What if your whole world was a lie? What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything? What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected? The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth's #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

 My Thoughts:

I truly enjoyed the first two books. I really enjoy young adult overall and when a friend’s daughter suggested the series to me I decided to pick it up about two months ago. I was lucky that I picked up the series just a bit before the last book came out and right before the movie comes out in Summer 2014. I read quickly through the first two books and was eagerly awaiting the last book. I however took more than a week to read the book. I know that you are thinking okay why should I consider that significant? Let me tell you, I read very quickly and usually finish a good 500 page book in two days, three days max. This book felt a little disjointed. The writing style was different from previous books and I found myself trudging through it.

The author set it up so you have two point of views throughout the whole book, Tris and Tobias. Each chapter would flip between their point of views. Frankly it felt a little bit too fanfiction like. Now do not get me wrong, I love fanfiction but to see this set up in the book made the book feel unfinished. At least the point of view switching did not result in an overlapping of the story. Overall one has to question why the author decided to change her writing style completely for the final book. Frankly she should have waited for her next series to try a different style as my coworker pointed out.

Okay so I will not spoil the book for you but I will say that the story line was a little bit annoying for a little while during my read. Roth did do a good job with explaining how the faction system came about and what is outside the world that Tris grew up in. I will admit that there are major twists and turns and you will find yourself tearing up at certain moments. There may be a point where you yell out, “Nooooo!!!” but you will enjoy the development of the characters. It is a must read but be prepared for the different writing style. When you do finish it come back and share your thoughts and if you already finished it, please comment so we can talk about this overall great series.

Revolution Season 2, Ep. 6 “Dead Man Walking”

Show starts with Monroe and Miles setting up the patriots for the death of the Texas Ranger. Charlie and Rachel are overly sweet to each other which drives Rachel’s father crazy. He knows something is wrong but they will not speak of it. Miles and Monroe have to work together. Patriot lady tries not to take Tom all the way to the camp but he kindly reminds her that it is in her best interest. They find some bodies all torn up and the cadet from the center are guilty of it. Tom is shot at and he finds himself face to face with his son who has been programmed against him.

The patriots find Monroe and capture him. Texas and Patriots are together and have Monroe in a cage. Aaron runs into a Texan who works with the press. Neville is determined to get his son back so he refuses to listen to the patriot lady who says there is no hope. Monroe is moved to the bank vault. Miles confronts Rachel about letting the patriots know about them breaking him out. Charlie lays into her mother for always thinking she is right and never listening to anyone.

Flashback – 3 years after blackout. Miles wants to scout a nearby camp and steal their food. Monroe is against the theft. Monroe has a woman who is pregnant. Monroe’s woman is giving birth and tells Miles run to get water and towels. Miles enlists Neville’s help. This is before they know who Neville is. The woman and child die. Miles has gone off the deep end and slaughtered the other group and took their supplies.

Monroe asks to see Miles before he dies. The bromance is strong! Monroe confesses his love child with Emma. Monroe asks Miles to find him but Miles says his son is fine and he knew about him the whole time. Miles hid the child from Monroe. Monroe gets upset. Rachel’s father is happy to assist in execution. Miles apologized for his actions to Rachel and is given the lethal injection and is pronounced dead. Neville has his son tied up but he is still very violent. Rachel’s father is feeding information to the Patriots. Aaron sees a carriage with a triangle and circle on it and realizes that he has been doodling it. He is confused. Rachel digs up Monroe’s body. The press lady lets Aaron know that Texas signed a treaty with the Patriots.

My Thoughts: Serious therapy session is needed for Rachel and Charlie. That is a messed up relationship. Also I think that Aaron would be very smart to give a nice interview to the press lady to put her on the right track about what is going on. Wow, so Monroe had another chick pregnant. We are able to see how much loss Monroe has had in his life. He never had any hope.

How dare Monroe get upset about Miles hiding the child when Monroe broke guy code by hooking up with Miles’s woman. I really think Monroe is not dead or maybe will come back to life otherwise why would Rachel dig him up? The fact that Rachel’s Dad has been a mole this whole time is horrible and it will be a shame to see.

X-Men Vol. 3: Out of Their Depth

So random question to everyone, What would happen if your 16 year old self saw you today? How would they react? Would they like you? Would their young optimism and innocence make you want to be a better person today? It may be impossible to answer these questions now but in the Marvel Universe these questions are what the All New X-men by Brian Micheal Bendis and Stuart Immonen is all about. For numerous reasons the Original X-men; Iceman, Cyclops, Beast, Angel, and Jean Gray are bought from the past into the future.

From there they get to encounter their future selves and see what the world has become. In this volume the Original Cyclops gets to see the brother he thought he lost and then with the help of Wolverine and Kitty Pryde the Originals put a stop to the Mystique, Sabertooth, and Mastermind's plan that's been developing since the last volume.

What I like the most about this volume and this series really is the interactions between Wolverine and the young Cyclops. Anyone who has been reading or watching the X-men knows that Wolverine has been making life difficult for Cyclops basically since he showed up on the team. Whether it was his James Dean Rebel without a cause attitude, his insistence on killing people, the fact that his being so cool overshadowed his adherence to rules personality, or even just maybe the fact that he tried to steal his girlfriend like a Canadian Pepe LePew. Wolverine has been a thorn in Cyclops side. But now that Wolverine is the headmaster and Cyclops is the rebellious teen out of his time the roles have reversed, but instead of dealing with it like Cyclops used to Wolverine looks at him like nothing would bring him more pleasure than smacking the taste out of his mouth, and Immonen does a great job illustrating this look.

So if you're interested in some X-men time hijinks and hilarity I suggest you go to your comic shop and pick this up.

Horror Movie Genres Explained

Hello Everyone,

For this week’s Vikki’s musing I figured I would talk about something that is Halloween related. Lets explore the different types of Horror Movies that exist.

Monster Movies – Monster movies are your typical King Kong type movies. Huge creature comes, scares people, and destroys parts of the world. Humans rise up and take it out.

Ghost Stories/Possessed/Haunted House – That would be your movies like The Shinning and Paranormal Activity. There is a ghost or entity reeking havoc. I would also include possessed kids like Children of the Corn and Village of the Damned.

Character Killer Franchise – I am sure you immediately know this one. This is your Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, etc. I personally always enjoyed Freddy as he was funny as he killed you.

Sci-Fi Horror – That would be your Zombie, Vampire, Werewolf, etc type of movie. I love zombie movies a little too much. Depending on the cause of the Zombie movie it can be part of a different type of genre known as Infection. (Contagion, Quarantine)

Crazy/Possessed Animal – This is a great genre. You have your fun movies like Cujo, The Birds, and Jaws.

Comedy Horror – These are always the fun movies like Ghostbusters, Evil Dead, Ernest Scared Stupid, and Shaun of the Dead. I have Ghostbusters on DVD and on my phone for when I am bored at work.

Slasher/Gore – These are your fun classic movies like Scream, Chainsaw Massacre, and Saw.

Religious/Satanic – An example of this would be Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and The Devil’s Advocate. These type of movies have a demon/devil aspect.

I really enjoy horror movies. I especially love Asian Horror movies. I enjoy movies that the person who thought they got away with their wrongdoing eventually gets destroyed by a spirit of the person that they wronged. Also Freddy will always have a special place in my heart. I also enjoy freaky ghost movies. I love the idea of ghosts. They are fun to watch when they mess with the living. Who did not love The Others? When it was revealed that they were really dead, it was quite enjoyable. I also scream my way through slasher/gore movies. I cannot help it. I watch through my fingers but a part of me loves watching them. As you can tell many of the horror movies can be moved into other genres but I tried to place them in the best category.

What other genres do you think I left off the list and what are some of your favorite horror movies?

S/N – I love Hocus Pocus. I guess that would go under Comedy Horror but it is one of my favorite movies.

TV Show Wrap-up Week of 10/26/2013

Witches of East End
Episode 1.2 10/20/2013

Freya, Ingrid, and Joanna have bad dreams. I like that Wendy is going to teach the girls magic because they do need to learn but I am concerned that they will be killed because of it. I do agree with Wendy that Joanna needs to stop being in denial and go on the offensive especially if the shifter has a doll that can suck out her powers. At least Wendy has the sense to tell Ingrid to not cast any spells without her. It is sad to see how many enemies Joanna really has. Dash shares the story of how Killian slept with Dash’s old fiancé. I am sure Freya feels like an idiot to find out this is Killian’s way. Of coarse Ingrid makes up a spell on her own anyway. Ingrid messes up and her hands become stone but Wendy is at least there to fix her mistake. Joanna faces off with the shape shifter. Freya walks in and helps her mother. I wonder what the whole story is between Killian and Dash. I still think they are supernatural of some sort. The ladies perform a spell of protection together. It was nice to see them together.

The Originals Season 1, Ep. 4 “Girl in New Orleans
10/22/2013

The episode starts with Klaus and Camille talking. He talks to her and compels her not to be scared and tells her the truth about what he is. Davina wants to go to a street fair and he tells her no but she gives him a demonstration of her powers and says she can go. I like that Camille is so curious about how Klaus’s power works. Klaus actually asks Camille to accept the invite and then adds a little compulsion to it. It is nice to see Davina allowed out to play. Haley goes to some back woods in the bayou in order to get a check up on the baby. Awe Davina has a little crush on a fiddle player. I wonder why she was taken out of school at the age of ten. Rebekah finds a church where a massacre occurred. Rebekah does find Elijah in the attic but due to a witch spell she cannot get in. Elijah is awake and talks to Rebekah in a dream state. Haley is almost kidnapped at the clinic but makes a run for it. I think her birthmark means something to the people in New Orleans and the fact that she is having a baby makes it interesting. Poor Camille is stuck doing all of Klaus’s bidding.

Davina meets with the fiddler boy at the church and lets him know that she misses seeing him. The massacre was caused by Camille’s twin brother. The priest lets Marcel know that he has a problem on his hands and he should not forget that people know his secret. I wonder what his secret is? Klaus plays mind games with Davina about how Marcel is not her friend. Fight time! Haley fights for her life in the woods and kicks ass, then both her and Rebekah get hit by arrows and Haley goes missing. Klaus heals the fiddler and compels him to forget making Davina owe him a favor. Haley shows back up and does not remember what happened to her. The wolf that has been following Haley actually protected her. I really think this wolf is attracted to her because of the role her birthmark plays. Isn’t the birthmark for the Original Werewolves or something? Camille realizes that maybe a vampire compelled her brother. She begs Klaus to not take the pain of her brother’s actions away from her. He however compels the pain away but promises that he will find out what happened. I really think he cares about Camille. Elijah is completely awake and lets Davina know it is time
they have a talk.

Supernatural Season 9, Ep. 3 “I am no Angel”
10/22/2013

Cass is working and helping others living as a human. He walks out and sees two priests with their eyes burned out. Angels anyone? Dean is talking to Sam and then all of sudden it is Ezekiel. Ezekiel lets him know that there is a faction of angels organizing to take over human vessels and go after Cass. Girl explodes after she says she wants to be a vessel for angels. Apparently not everyone is capable of handling being a vessel. Poor Cass an angel finds him and he has to kill him. I know the constant killing of his own is weighing heavily on him. Cass uses his last bit of money to have a tattoo to ward him from the Angels. How deep was it that a human lets Cass know that he needs to have faith and that someone is listening. I think the angels forgot that God still exists.

The head Angel decides to employ a reaper to find Cass. Cass meets a nice young lady that gives him a sandwich. The Winchesters are being stalked by a Reaper trying to find Cass through them. They catch him. Cass gets physical with the lovely young lady that cares for him. Sam and Dean get information out of the reaper and find out they should be concerned with Bartholomew. Turns out the nice young lady is in fact a reaper. The blue eye freaky thing of Sam is getting very scary. I think we all know this is going to end badly. Cass is all tied up and is being tortured. Sam and Dean show up after Cass has been stabbed with what looks like a fatal wound. Angel Sam is able to heal Cass’s wounds. Dean has to keep making up these stories to cover Angel Sam’s actions. This is going to end so badly when it comes out. Angel Sam says that Cass needs to go or he will leave because it is dangerous to have him there. Dean makes a hard decision and tells Cass he needs to leave. I truly question the motives of Ezekiel. I think there is more going on than what we know.

Sons of Anarchy Season 6, Ep. 7 “Sweet and Vaded”
10/22/2013

The guys are cleaning out the club. The music is always so pivotal in this show. The guys set up in an ice cream shop. Tara is withdrawaling her own blood. She is working a deal with her boss. I love seeing Bobby back and happy to see that the table is salvageable. The DA makes Niro a deal to give up the MC in order to walk on the murder charge. New guys that Bobby hustled up are officially in and the club is looking for ways to earn legitimate money. They decide to welcome Rat Boy to be a full member but at first they scare the crap out of him. It is nice to see the club have some good times. Marx is willing to wait on the club to work things out. Gemma lets Niro know that Venus is in trouble and Niro begs Gemma to help Venus. Turns out that Venus’s mother made Venus a child the star of various child pornography. Venus and the crew goes and tries to get his son. High speed chase ensues when Venus’s mom takes the boy and runs.

Tara has plans on top of plans. It is crazy. Men should always worry about a woman with a plan. Alice is spewing how the boy will grow up and hate who is father is. It hits too close to home for Jax and he shoots her in the head. Gemma shows up the hospital after Wendy riles her up. The boss is in on it. Tara faked the pregnancy and now the miscarriage. She fakes that Gemma attacked her and uses the blood as evidence. Wow! I was not ready for how far Tara would go to get her boys out of danger, but at the same time a mother would do anything for her children. End song - Gemma gets arrested and Jax shows up to care for Tara. Venus watches her son get on a bus to Seattle. Tara is in the hospital being taken care of. Gemma is being booked for assault. Tara lets Jax know that she cannot be around Gemma anymore and shows Jax the bruise on her stomach from Gemma “kicking” her. She makes Jax promise that Gemma will never be around the boys again. Jax signs the paperwork to bar Gemma from the kids. I remember when Tara was fighting her boss and now they work together to get Tara’s agenda done. Gemma sitting in jail realizes that she has been played.

The Tomorrow People Season 1, Ep. 3 “Girl, Interrupted”
10/23/2013

Show starts with a flashback of a guy at a dance picking up a deaf girl. He attacks her in the car and she is able to use her powers to throw him off her. It turns out it is Cara. After she uses her powers she is able to hear. Stephen is at a party with his best friend and is able to hear people’s thoughts. The super humans are given a shot and their powers are taken. Cara lets him know that Stephen cannot interfere with Emily’s life. Stephen is in training and Cara is helping by listening in. I think it is very risky to have Stephen break into Ultra. Flashback Cara is arrested because when she used telekinesis it resulted in the guy dying. She however gets out of the cuffs by teleporting.

The Tomorrow People are set up and Cara gets kidnapped. Stephen volunteers to be the one to inject Cara with the treatment to make her human again. He faked giving her the medication and she is able to get out with her powers. Stephen’s best friend sees him use his powers as he leaves the scene from saving Emily from killing herself. Cara shows the ending of her past and how her father asks her to leave to protect herself and the family. Stephen is confronted by Astrid about his powers. He denies but she lets him know she will figure it out.

Wonderland Season 1, Ep. 3 “Forget Me Not”
10/24/2013

Flashback: When the Knave of Hearts was in the Forbidden Forest he apparently joined Robin Hood and his Merry Men for a woman. He led them to steal from Magnificent. He stole a mirror as well. He betrayed the Merry Man but Robin Hood says that he will not do anything to him because he will pay for his deception. The Knave runs home to Anastasia and givers her the looking glass. Turns out his Anastasia is the Red Queen. They use the looking glass to go to Wonderland. I hope we get to see how this goes wrong.

While in Wonderland the Knave and Alice go to see the Caterpillar who is mad creepy. He is scary to see and way more evil than I remember. He likes to collect heads. I do not recall him doing this but I guess I should pick up the book again. He tells the Knave that he can wipe out his debt if he can collect the Forget Me Not. This is not a flower but an actual rope tied into a circle with a knot. You can look into the circle and see what occurred at that location in the past. Alice plans to use the knot to see who took the bottle from the hole. Alice and Will have to go to see the Grendel. I wonder if this is the Grendel that we all had to read about in high school English? He is grotesque and turned that way after stealing the knot from the Red Queen. A monster shows up and Alice with the help of the Knave kill it and save Grendel in the process who in turn gives the knot to them. Alice uses the knot and sees the White Rabbit taking the bottle and giving it to the Red Queen. Jafar visits the Caterpillar for information about the Knave. Knave shows his Merry Man side and does not give the knot to the Caterpillar. I like the extra layer of information in regards to the Red Queen and the Knave. She seemed so happy and innocent in the past. I wonder what happened in Wonderland to make things go that bad.

The Walking Dead Season 4, Ep. 3 “Isolation”

Important Moments:

Show starts off with Glenn and Maggie digging graves for the dead. Tyrese leads Rick, Carol, and Darryl to the burnt bodies. Tyese is upset understandably. He fights Rick and Rick proceeds to beat on Tyese. People just keep getting sick and they keep burying people. They have all the sick people isolated. Contagion!!!!!! The illness is spreading. Glenn is feeling sick. The group decides to go out to the vet school for medication. Tyrese says he will worry about what’s right, the people who were killed.

Glenn is sick. He is in the corner all sickly and pathetic. Darryl says he is happy to have Michonne there. They try to figure out who is left to go with them on the run. Tyrese wants to stay on watch especially since Sasha is in there. Darryl offers to Tyrese to roll with them for the meds. Carl questions where Hershel is going. Hershel says he is going out into the woods and Carl lets him know that he has to go in there with him.

Carol helps the sick into isolation including a little girl. Hershel is gathering herbs while Carl is watching his back. It is sad to see Tyrese talking to Sasha through the visitor window. Tyrese appeals to Carol to look in at Sasha for him. Maggie runs up on her father for not being in quarantine. Hershel says he can help keep people’s fevers down and stable until the meds arrive. Rick is investigating the crime scene.

Carol is outside trying to clear the pipe for the water by herself. Luckily Rick comes out and notices what she is doing and helps her. Darryl lets Michonne know that he understands what she is doing. They get into a slight fender bender hitting a few walkers and become surrounded by a massive horde. They literally become stuck on the bodies of the walkers and have to make a run for it. Tyese is still sitting in the car but he finally decides to get out and starts killing a bunch of walkers but is surrounded. He joins the rest of the group later.

Hershel is helping Glenn. Hershel took off his makeshift mask and is helping all the sick. Rick asks Carol if she was the one behind the murders and she flat out says yes. Female Shane anyone?

My thoughts:

Tyrese punks the hell out of Rick and lets him know that as a cop he needs to handle these murders. Tyrese gets all big and what not. I think it was a punk move for Rick to hit Tyrese when Darryl was holding him. Tyrese looks crazy with the shut eye.

The silencer on Carl’s gun is quite adorable. Hershel should not have to explain why he wants to save lives. I understand they do not want him to get sick but this is something that he has to do. Beth's mantra of "We don't get to get upset" is starting to creep me out. I was about to be very mad at Tyrese for just sitting in the car but he gets out and goes into beast mode and starts taking the walkers down. For my comic book readers, this feels like the incident in the gym. I hope it works out the same way and surprisingly it does.

I had a feeling it was Carol. I know she wants to handle things but it turns out it didn't matter as the disease kept spreading and now she has to deal with her actions. Am I the only one who feels like Hershel is going to die from this disease but Glenn will be saved.

Twitter Ain't Sh*t (Twitter has some funny people on it!)

Block Samson “ We about to get Tyrese morphing into pure black rage”
Slack Daddy “Don’t ever piss off a Black guy during the zombie apocalypse.
Keadabeada “Dang!!! Tyrese looks like he just went twelve rounds with Tyson”

The_RickGrimes “This flu is spreading faster than Andrea’s legs!”

Once Upon a Time Season 3, Ep. 5 “Good Form”

Important Moments:

Neal is taken away by the Lost Boys. A Lost Boy challenges Henry but it is all set up to get Henry to use his powers. Pan tells Henry to believe he has a real sword and it becomes one. Henry is becoming more and more part of Pan’s group. Emma says they have to help Henry keep the faith that they are coming. Charming being the dad that he is warns Hook away from his daughter. Snow thinks its time to set a trap for the lost boys. Charming passes out.

Charming finds a piece of leather that was Hook’s brother's sachel. Hook and Charming plan to scale dead man’s peak to get his brother's sexton. Charming says bye to his family to set out on his task and still does not tell them that he is dying.

Flashback: Lieutenant Jones (Hook) is talking to his men about bad form. The Captain is Hook’s older brother. They are on their way to a special land. The Captain instructs the crew to bring down a special sail made from the feathers of a Pegasus. They literally fly into the sky. Captain sets sail for second star to the right and straight on to morning. The brothers land on Neverland for a magical plant that can heal any injury. They meet with Peter Pan. Pan says the plant is poisonous and they choose not to believe Pan. Hook questions that the plant is poison. Hook says it is wrong and he will not bring back a poison. Captain Jones attempts to prove to Hook that it is not poison by scratching himself with the plant and he becomes ill.

Emma tries to appeal to the boy they captured. He states he does not want to go home and Henry caused the cut on his face. Charming notes that Hook must have lost someone as well. Pan visits Hook and offers him a deal for a passage off the island. Pan says for Hook to kill Charming before the poison does or he will pay. Emma lets Regina rip the boys heart out to get information and control him to get the message to Henry.

Flashback cont: Pan shows Hook a spring that can heal any injury. Pan warns him that there is a price that has to be paid for using the magic and not to leave the island. They leave the island and as they land Hook's brother becomes ill again. Hook's brother is dropped into the ocean. Hook lets the men know about the King's need for poison. He burns the pegasus sail and turns himself and his men into pirates. He renames the boat as the Jolly Roger.

Charming heard the conversation with Pan. Hook set Charming up and made him come up there on a lie. The sexton is not there but rather he wants to save Charming. Henry sees the mirror and gets to talk to everyone. Hook gives Charming the water from the spring. He lets Charming know that if he drinks it he can never leave the island. He is immediately healed. Charming sings Hook's praises for saving his life. Emma kisses Hook. Pan shows up and lets Hook know that Neal is alive and in Neverland. He leaves it up to Hook if he will tell Emma or not. They hang Neal up in a box and there is someone else in a box as well.

My Thoughts:

It is sad to see Henry losing hope in the beginning. I enjoyed that they used second star to the right saying. I always enjoy these flashback. The flashback helps explain so much and shows how we arrived to the modern day characters. I want to shake Charming so badly. He needs to tell his family that he is dying so they can be with him in his last hours. Snow truly does annoy me. She is always saying that they cannot do things a certain way every time Regina makes a suggestion. Sometimes you just have to get down and dirty to get things done. I agree with Emma and Regina about ripping the boys heart out and frankly they should have done it sooner.

I do not know if Henry seeing his family is enough to pull him away from the Lost Boys. Sorry but it is creepy to have Hook kiss Emma since he dated Neal's mother also know as Henry's grandmother! Ewww!!! Pan is the ultimate manipulator and I have to give him credit. The question is who is in the other box?

Assassin's Creed Movie

The lead actor for Assassin's Creed the movie, Michael Fassbender has never played the game. He admitted to his lack of hands on game knowledge in an interview for his upcoming movie, 12 Years a Slave. However despite the lack of knowledge, Fassbender said he knows the series and is energized by the concept of the franchise.

"That's definitely happening. We're just developing the script at the moment. I'd heard of it but had never played the game," Fassbender said. "I don't have a video game player … that's not what they're called [Laughs]. I met up with the guys from Ubisoft and they told me the story behind it, and I thought it was very interesting--the idea of reliving memories."

Fassbender was Ubisoft's first choice for the lead role in the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie. It remains unclear which character from the Assassin's Creed universe Fassbender will portray. The Asssassin's Creed movie is expected in theaters in May 2015.

Ubisoft has a total of six movies in the pipeline. In addition to Assassin's Creed, the French publisher is making movies based on its Far Cry, Rabbids, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon franchises. In all instances, Ubisoft will retain creative control.

The Vampire Diaries Season 5, Ep. 4 “For Whom the Bell Tolls”

Important Moments:

Stefan is riding with Damon with his erased memories. It is interesting to see Stefan with a modified personality. Damon purposely crashes the car to prove that he is the fun brother. Caroline is friends with Jessie from college. Jeremy is working out with no shirt on! Jeremy is still urging Bonnie to let people know she is dead. Matt is freaking out because he is losing time and is possessed. Damon stops Stefan from eating the waitress.

Stefan is learning from Elena and appears to be putting the moves on her. Elena takes Stefan to school to help him remember. Jessie makes a move and kisses Caroline. Jeremy lets Damon know about Bonnie. Damon is mad at Jeremy for telling him and he hugs Jeremy. Elena tells Stefan that she is with Damon as he is about to kiss her. Stefan of coarse flees. Matt watches a video of himself and realizes that his is inhabited by someone else.

Caroline meets Stefan as he is drunk and walking around a crowd of blood bags. Jessie gets eaten by Stefan. Caroline heals Jessie. Stefan leaves and says he will check in with Caroline. Damon tells Elena about Bonnie’s death. Even though Stefan does not remember Bonnie, Caroline lets him know anyway about her death. Stefan says he will be there for Caroline. Elena has a melt down about not having funeral clothes.

The gang shares memories at a tree stump in the woods. Bonnie says thank you to Jeremy as she needed it. Bonnie speaks through Jeremy and tries to motivate them. It is a total "Ghost" moment. Tyler shows up to the funeral. Jessie and Dr. Maxfield are talking and talks about Jessie has vampire blood in his system. Maxfield kills Jessie and makes him a vampire.

 My Thoughts:

Jessie is so hot! I wonder what Dr. Maxfield is hiding. I still hold the belief that Elena's step-father is still alive. Stefan is more Damon like with his memories gone. Also if the doppelgangers have been trying to get together then Stefan has already met his with Katherine.

Elena showing Stefan around the town shows how great they used to be together. You can feel the emotions that they had for each other. However, Stefan still has a funny shaped head so I am Team Damon. My heart was breaking a little or maybe a lot because when Jeremy admitted that Bonnie was dead and Damon hugged him, I couldn’t help but to tear up. Despite all that Stefan has done for Elena, I always feel like Damon gives from his soul.

I understand Elena wants Stefan back to himself but she is giving too much. Stefan has some nerve saying that his hunger returns because of Elena. He needs to learn control at some point.  Is it just me but at some point in time can we have a season where someone important in Elena's life does not die? That girl cannot catch a break. The group keeps getting smaller and the only 100% human is Matt but he is possessed by a gypsy.

They are really pulling the tears out of me during this episode. It was nice to see Tyler! Until next week.
