Movie Review: Gravy

Story Line: It’s Halloween night. A trio of costumed misfits with very special dietary requirements seizes a Mexican cantina and forces the staff to engage in a late night of gluttony. The only caveat is what’s on the menu…and who will survive ‘til morning! This deliriously demented horror-comedy is a true feast for genre fans. Stuffed with an outstanding ensemble cast and perfectly seasoned with laughs and scares, you’ll be sure to ask for seconds on Gravy.

GRAVY is the feature film directorial debut of JAMES RODAY (Psych) and written by Roday and Todd Harthan (Psych, Dominion) starring an an all-star ensemble cast that includes: MICHAEL WESTON (State of Play, Garden State), JIMMI SIMPSON (House of Cards, White House Down), SUTTON FOSTER (Younger, Bunheads), LILY COLE (Snow White and the Huntsman), MOLLY EPHRAIM (Last Man Standing), PAUL RODRIGUEZ (Ali), GABRIEL LUNA (True Detective, Wicked City), LOTHAIRE BLUTEAU (Vikings, The Tudor), ETHAN SANDLER (The Bourne Supremacy, Crossing Jordan), DULE HILL (Ballers, Psych), with GABOUREY SIDIBE (Empire, Precious) and SARAH SILVERMAN (Wreck-It Ralph).

Fangirl's Review: This movie starts out with a typical night that quickly goes left. I enjoyed the concept of the movie so I felt I had to check it out. I must admit I was not ready for the gore to happen but at the same time I enjoyed the madness throughout the film. 

This movie has a potentional to have a cult following as the killers were hillarious and Sutton Foster truly made the movie. Foster's character was fun to watch and she was cunning. The deaths of some of the characters made you just laugh. I personally hope for a sequel this movie is too good just to end. If you enjoy tongue-in-cheek horror films then this if the film for you. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

HARMONIX ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF FIRST MAJOR ROCK BAND™ 4 FEATURE UPDATE COMING FOR FREE THIS HOLIDAY

Ahead of Rock Band 4’s highly-anticipated October 6launch, Harmonix Music Systems, Inc. (“Harmonix”) today announced that the first major feature update for the title will be released on December 8, 2015 for both Xbox One and the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. This first major feature update will be available to all players for free, and will focus on exciting new social and competitive features, along with some surprises for fans. Additionally, based on feedback from its community, Harmonix has confirmed it will be adding “Variable Breakneck Speed” to the game for the first time. “Variable Breakneck Speed” will let players control note scrolling speeds for each track independently, a feature long-requested by many in the Rock Band community.

“With the core game already shipping to retailers for an October 6 launch, we’re excited to start looking at the future of Rock Band for our fans,” said Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak. “We already have a team hard at work building new features for the platform, some based on player feedback, along with some surprises, including a new mode that changes gameplay in a really significant way that we think people are going to love.”

“We’ve said that we’re viewing Rock Band 4 as a platform that we will build on over time,” added Product Manager Daniel Sussman, “and this first feature update is just the beginning; we can’t wait to share more details after launch.”

SQUARE ENIX ANNOUNCES NEW YORK COMIC-CON 2015 EVENTS AND LINEUP

Hands-On Demos for Just Cause 3 and Life is Strange, Panels with the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Development Team and More. Square Enix® announced its lineup and events for New York Comic-Con 2015, being held at Javits Center Oct. 8-11. The company will be showcasing a mix of new releases and highly-anticipated games, including presentation demos for the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided® and HITMAN®, and hands-on opportunities for Just Cause® 3, the critically-acclaimed Life is Strange®, DRAGON QUEST HEROES®: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below™, FINAL FANTASY EXPLORERS®, and the award-winning mobile puzzler Lara Croft® GO will also be available.

LEGENDARY CHARACTERS AND MONSTERS SHOWCASED IN NEW WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY SCREENSHOTS

SQUARE ENIX® today released new WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY™ screenshots featuring the heroes Reynn and Lann as a mysterious woman named Enna Kros guides them into the world of Grymoire. Along the way, the siblings encounter notable characters, locations and monsters that will be familiar to FINAL FANTASY® fans, including the legendary Lightning from FINAL FANTASY XIII and the town of Cornelia from the original FINAL FANTASY.

The new images showcase Mirages, powerful creatures that can turn the tide of any battle to aid Reynn and Lann. Players can take advantage of the game’s unique stacking mechanic to increase attack power and HP and unlock special abilities. Among the iconic Mirages are Shiva, Ramuh, Ifrit and Cerberus, ready to wipe out all enemies that oppose the duo. Solve Puzzles and Survive Dungeons Alongside Friends in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

Form a legendary trio with your friends and tackle dungeons and boss battles together in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, coming to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems on Oct. 23. Presented in the same top-down style as the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds game, prepare to solve inventive puzzles as a team and dress Link in a range of outfits to enable new abilities that enhance your adventure.

Each of the game’s 36 outfits comes with its own special abilities that help the three Link characters solve puzzles and navigate difficult terrain. For example, “Goron Garb” allows Link to swim in lava, while the “Zora Costume” helps him swim through water with greater speed.In the Kingdom of Hytopia, a fashion-obsessed realm where sartorial elegance is celebrated, an evil witch has placed a mysterious curse upon Princess Styla, casting the realm into disarray. With citizens calling for the return of a legendary trio of “Totem Heroes” to protect them, and King Tuft offering a unique reward for whosoever lifts the curse, venture into the Drablands to hunt down the witch and restore peace and stylishness to the land.

You also have a variety of ways to explore the game across its 32 stages. You can play in solo mode along with two paper doll-like figures called “Doppels.” Or you can use an Internet connection to go online in multiplayer mode and partner with two other heroic players who also own the game. You can choose to team up with a combination of players who are and are not part of your Nintendo 3DS friend list. Finally, Download Play allows you to connect locally with two other friends who own a system in the Nintendo 3DS family, even if only one person has the game. Only by working as a team will you be able to progress through the various hazards lying in wait, but for those who master an area, bonus challenges can be unlocked for access to more valuable rewards.

To share your great acts of teamwork and skill from throughout the game with others, players can visit the Photo Bro shop managing the in-game Miiverse Gallery. As well as posting these snaps to Miiverse, you can even unlock Miiverse stamps, which you can apply to your hand-drawn creations.
