IMDB Storyline: The Bellas are back, and they are better
than ever. After being humiliated in front of none other than the President of
the United States of America ,
the Bellas are taken out of the Aca-Circuit. In order to clear their name and
regain their status, the Bellas take on a seemingly impossible task: winning an
International competition no American team has ever won. In order to accomplish
this monumental task, they need to strengthen the bonds of friendship and
sisterhood, and blow away the competition with their amazing aca-magic! With
all new friends and old rivals tagging along for the trip, the Bellas can
hopefully accomplish their dreams once again.
My Thoughts: Everyone is back from the original cast! You
get to see them all. Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) is her typical crass self while
Beca (Anna Kendrick) is going through her own person journey as always. The
movie is pretty typical. The Bellas disgrace themselves, there is some
in-fighting, they have a kumbaya moment, come back together, and win it all.
Sorry but that is not a spoiler you and I both know that the movie will have a
happy ending and the Bellas will win whatever competition they are in.
The movie had some funny moments and the kumbaya moment was
perfect as the girls came together and sang "When I'm Gone" which is
perfect in the moment. You almost get chills.
We have the new comer, Emily, played by Haliee Steinfeld. She
is a legacy. Her mother played by Katy Segal was a Bella and now she hopes that
her daughter will be one as well. Frankly I could have done without the Emily
story line as it truly does not add anything to the movie but I guess they
wanted to add something new. Overall it was not necessary. The movie
was great and I highly recommend it.
