Square Enix Montréal Invites Artists to Submit Their Best Lara Croft GO-ified Art to Benefit Child’s Play Charity. Square Enix Montréal today announced that Lara Croft GO™, the follow-up to the hugely successful Hitman GO® mobile game, will release on mobile platforms Aug. 27. The turn-based puzzle game offers a never-before-seen take on the iconic franchise, featuring challenging levels, gorgeous visuals and a mesmerizing soundtrack.
Additionally, the studio announced a Lara Croft GO-inspired art contest that will benefit Child’s Play Charity. Square Enix Montréal and Crystal Dynamics® are calling all artists (in the United States and Canada) to submit their own original Lara Croft GO-inspired artwork of their favorite Lara Croft® and Tomb Raider® scenes. The top 10 entries, selected by a panel of Lara Croft experts, will be showcased during the Lara Croft GO party at PAX Prime in Seattle on Aug. 28 and artists will be awarded exclusive prizes. Out of the ten semi-finalists, judges will choose three entries to be auctioned off with the proceeds going to Child’s Play. Square Enix encourages all artists to explore Lara Croft’s best escapes in the GO series art style.
Submissions are open now until Aug. 21. Those wishing to submit artwork can do so by emailing info@square-enix-montreal.com with the subject line Lara Croft GO Art Contest Submission,” along with their name (to be used publicly), city and a link to their online art portfolio, if applicable.
