IMDB Storyline: Clary Fray is a normal teenager living in Brooklyn with her mother. One day, she discovers that she is descended from a line of Shadowhunters; humans born with angelic blood that fight to protect our world from demons. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary must team up with these Shadowhunters: Jace, Alec and Isabelle and her best friend Simon on a quest to find her mother and recover her past.

It appears as though the television show will follow the books pretty well. The talent that were selected for the roles are believable. The actor playing Jace is cute. You can't help but feel for Simon and his unrequited love for Clary. Also Luke is now super hot! The show is following all the right elements for a hit by having some supernatural beasts, mystery hot love interest, and a cast of eye candy. Sadly it appears as though Clary will stilll make the same foolish choices as she did in the book. This made me sad. I really wish they made her smarter but hopefully she will make better choices going forward in the show.
Fangirl Thoughts: The first episode was a great opening. I am looking forward to seeing this develop. They did a great job with drawing you in even though there were moment that were too heavy handed and teen angsty but that is to be expected. I like that there were some changes from the book and I look forward to the show having its on take on the source material. What did you think?
