Resident Evil 7 Banned Footage DLC details; Vol. 1 available on PS4 Now

As confirmed at PSX 2016, PlayStation 4 players will be getting the two “Banned Footage” add-on content packs for Resident Evil 7 biohazard first. Each pack includes two banned footage scenarios and an extra mode.

Banned Footage Vol. 1 is available today for PlayStation 4 players for €9.99 / $9.99 and will also be readily available for consumers who have purchased either the Deluxe Edition or Season Pass. This Vol. 1 pack includes “Nightmare,” where Sewer Gators cameraman Clancy must craft weapons and ammo to face off against hordes of enemies to survive until morning. Also included is “Bedroom” where Clancy must figure out how to get out of a locked bedroom in the Baker family’s plantation and make his escape but beware – Marguerite Baker won’t be happy if she knows he’s up and out of bed! Along with both of these scenarios is an infinitely replayable extra game mode called “Ethan Must Die”, which is an extra tough mode that is separate from the events of RE7. (Please note that PSVR is not supported in “Ethan Must Die.”)

Following this, Banned Footage Vol. 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 owners on February 14th at a price of €14.99 / $14.99. In this Vol. 2 pack, the “banned footage” scenarios include “21” and “Daughters.” Players will need to gamble with their own life in a deadly game of “21” with Lucas Baker and then dive deeper into the Baker family’s life before the tragic events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard in “Daughters.” An extra gameplay mode titled “Jack’s 55th Birthday” provides a race against the clock as players serve up the Daddy of the family, Jack Baker, with tons of treats for his special celebration. (Please note that PSVR is not supported in “Jack’s 55th Birthday.”)

Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 will be available to purchase for all other platforms on February 21st. Deluxe Edition and Season Pass owners will get the Banned Footage contents as they release per above and an additional story episode with more details to come. In addition, in spring 2017, all players will have access to the free “Not a Hero” content, introducing players to a new separate storyline away from Ethan’s saga in the main game.

Guests announced for 2017 Anime Fan Fest

MAD Event Management follows up a successful second year in Edison, NJ at New Jersey Comic Expo with dates and guests for their return to Garden State, and the announcement of an all-new exhibition in Charm City! The second annual Anime Fan Fest presented by Otaku USA will return to the Garden State Exhibition Center in Somerset New Jersey April 22 and 23, 2017 with it’s special brand of geek-centric entertainment, bringing creators and fans together for two days of celebration of manga, anime and Asian culture.

The two companies also announce Anime Fan Fest Baltimore, which will debut two months lateron June 3 and 4 at the Baltimore Convention Center in downtown Baltimore, MD.

Rock Band February DLC Revealed

More Great Songs Arrive in Rock Band to Help Fill Out Your Online Playlist 

Full DLC Lineup for February Revealed

Hot on the heels of the Online Quickplay update for Rock Band™ Rivals come nine great full-band tracks to the Rock Band DLC library – perfect for playing together. Kicking off the month are two great songs from Ratt and Twisted Sister. These rock staples will be available on both Xbox One and PlayStation®4 this Thursday for $1.99 per track:

• Ratt – “Round and Round”
• Twisted Sister – “I Wanna Rock”

Rock Band’s tenth anniversary celebration continues with Rock Band Rewind this month. Four Rock Band soundtrack favorites are coming to the Rock Band 4 DLC library. They are:

• Motörhead – “Ace of Spades” (First appeared on Rock Band 2)
• Panic! At The Disco – “Nine In The Afternoon” (First appeared on Rock Band 2)
• Ratt – “Round and Round” (First appeared on Rock Band 2)
• Sum 41 – “In Too Deep” (First appeared on Lego Rock Band)

“Over the years a ton of really great songs have appeared on the various Rock Band soundtracks,” said Tom Bender, Rock Band DLC product manager. “With the release of Online Quickplay last week, we know a lot of players are excited to play some of their favorite songs from previous Rock Bands with old friends. These are some of the most played songs in Rock Band history and now they can once again be added to everyone’s music library and played together.”

Gameplay Notes
Starting off our Rewind tracks for the month, “Round and Round” by Ratt comes to Rock Band as DLC for the first time. This 1984 hit from the 3x platinum selling album Out of the Cellar rose to #12 on the Hot 100 charts and would become the band’s signature song. Those who love belting it out on vocals will love singing this track in-game – both melody and harmony lines will have plenty to do, and we bet you can’t keep your head from banging during this tune. With what our Audio QA team calls a “rippin’ solo” on guitar added to the mix, “Round and Round” is a well-rounded pick for your Music Library.

“I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister makes its Rock Band debut this week. Featuring a memorable Animal House-inspired music video, “I Wanna Rock” placed #17 on VH1’s Greatest Hard Rock Songs of All-Time. This tune is perfect for beginner rock vocalists, getting harmony singers together for the energy-inspired “ROCK” in each and every chorus. Drummers should take heed to the fair amount of kicks throughout the song. A galloping bass chart will keep this spirited rock hit moving right along through the end.

THE SOUTHERN VAMPIRES IN SKYBOUND’SREDNECK WILL PUT TRUE BLOOD TO SHAME

Donny Cates (GOD COUNTRY) teams up with artist Lisandro Estherren and colorist Dee Cunniffe for an all-new Southern vampire series—REDNECK—set to launch this April from Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment.

New Games Starring Mario, Yoshi and Pikmin Coming to Nintendo 3DS in 2017

Nintendo 3DS Starts the Year with New Games, a Pikachu-Themed New Nintendo 3DS XL System, New amiibo and Discounted Prices on Classic Games

After the most successful quarter of software sales in Nintendo 3DS history fueled by the record-breaking sales of the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games, the portable Nintendo 3DS system kicks off 2017 with the debut of a Pikachu-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL system, new entertaining and engaging games for the entire family, the introduction of new amiibo cards, and discounts on many popular games.

“Nintendo 3DS is a portal to one-of-a-kind Nintendo adventures starring classic characters like Mario, Yoshi and all of their friends,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our hit system offers a wide variety of memorable experiences for adventurers of all ages.”

Nintendo 3DS fans will be able to enjoy all of the following in 2017:

• Pikachu Yellow Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL: On Feb. 24, an electrifying new design for the New Nintendo 3DS XL hardware will hit store shelves. The colorful yellow system sports a charming drawing of popular Pokémon Pikachu on the cover and will be available at a suggested retail price of $199.99.
• Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World: Get crafty and explore a handcrafted world full of surprises. The Nintendo 3DS version of the critically acclaimed Wii U game launches on Feb. 3, alongside the new Yarn Poochy amiibo figure, and includes even more great features like stages you dash through as Poochy, a Craft Yoshi Editor perfect for creative types and charming stop-motion animated videos starring Yoshi and Poochy. A free demo for Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is now available to download in Nintendo eShop.
• Tank Troopers: Storm the battlefield in one of 36 customizable tanks in this tank warfare shooter exclusive to Nintendo eShop. The digital game supports up to six players battling against each other in teams or free-for-all in local multiplayer matches. Colorful characters with unique personalities, a variety of different maps and modes, and creative challenges combine to make Tank Troopers a fun and engaging multiplayer experience. Tank Troopers launches exclusively in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS on Feb. 16.
• Mario Sports Superstars: The action-packed game launches on March 24 and offers five full-featured sports like Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Baseball and, for the first time in a Mario sports game, Horse Racing. Each sport stars Mario and his friends (and enemies!) from the Mushroom Kingdom and can be played in local or online multiplayer modes. (Players must own the game and a Nintendo 3DS system to compete in multiplayer mode.)
• New Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards: By tapping one of these new amiibo character cards while playing Mario Sports Superstars, players will get a variety of fun bonuses. The Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards can be purchased in blind packs of five at a suggested retail price of $4.99 each, starting on March 24. For a limited time, the Mario Sports Superstars game will include one amiibo card packed in.
• Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS (name not final): The upcoming Pikmin game for Nintendo 3DS is a side-scrolling adventure that introduces new players to the adorable Pikmin and their unique abilities, while challenging longtime fans to navigate a strange new world. Players play as Captain Olimar and tap the screen to throw Pikmin at enemies and objects, using the unique abilities of the Pikmin to solve puzzles, fend off aggressive wildlife and find objects as they navigate the world’s tiny harsh environment. The game launches exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems in 2017.
• More Great Games at a Suggested Retail Price of $19.99 Each: The critically acclaimed Nintendo 3DS games Kirby Triple Deluxe and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team are joining the Nintendo Selects lineup and will arrive in stores mid-February. Nintendo Selects are classic Nintendo games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Yoshi’s New Island that are available at the great suggested retail price of only $19.99 each.
