Tell me a little bit about yourself? What rig do you currently game on? What kind of gamer do you classify yourself to be? ie. PC, Console, Tabletop, LARP as well as Hardcore, RPG, etc.
I'm 23 years old. I currently game on PS4, PS3, 3DS, some Xbox360 & Wii U, but not much. If I had to classify myself as a type of gamer, it would retro. I collect a lot of old systems and games, as well as accessories. But I play a lot of modern games too. I'll play anything as long as it interests me.
What is your first memory of gaming?
My first memory of gaming was back on my Sega Genesis - my parents had bought it for my brother and I for Christmas and had also purchased Street Fighter II Championship Edition. I remember my brother parking our rears in front of the TV, playing against each other for hours. Not too long after that, my dad (unknowingly) bought us Zombies Ate My Neighbors, which remains one of my favorite games of all time.
What game are you currently playing right now? Do you enjoy that game, why? How’s the overall game play and graphics?
I just platinumed Infamous: Second Son last night, so currently I'm playing FFXIV on the PS4 and Battlefield 4. I enjoy both games very much. Battlefield I mainly enjoy because I have friends who play it. The graphics are very well done, it looks a lot better than a lot of FPS's I've seen. As for FFXIV, I love it because I'm glad to see Square Enix succeed at a MMO. FFXI was sort of a bummer, but I feel like right now was the best time for them to release one. The controls are awesome for the PS4/PS3. It's just as easy as using a mouse and keyboard. And the graphics are absolutely breathtaking! Each world, each area is beautiful in it's own way. And the character designs are also very well done.
Would you recommend it, why?
I would recommend both very highly, especially if you have a PS4. As far as FPS's go, Battlefield 4 is top notch, there are plenty of different game modes as well new game modes with each DLC. The season pass is well worth the money if you play it a lot. I've bought season passes for other FPS's and have been disappointed at the lack of content or how long it takes for new content to be release. Battlefield 4 does a wonderful job at keeping it's players happy.
If you are new to MMORPGs, I couldn't recommend FFXIV enough. The community is very helpful and friendly. You won't find those 'elitists' like you do in WoW. There are jerks here and there, but for the most part, everyone is willing to help you if you have questions.
Are there any games coming out that you are looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to quite a few games; Destiny (PS4), Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4), Watch Dogs (PS4), Tomodachi Life (3DS), Bayonetta 2, Child of Light, and more.

If you could design your own game what would it be like?
Honestly, I would love to design a rhythm game. DDR was one of my favorite arcade games back in the day and I adored it. I lost so much weight the first summer I bought that game for the PS2. I think it would be interesting to combine DDR with a camera based game, like Just Dance. Something like Sony tried to do with the Playstation Eye. I know that Just Dance and Dance Central sort of take up a lot of room to play, so having a set place to stand & move (the DDR pad) would be perfect for people who have limited space, like a small living room or apartment.
I always thought it would be something fun to tool around with, maybe add more DLC song choices as new songs by artists are released. I know a lot of music games have a hard time keeping up with up-to-date songs.
Thoughts on this new generation of consoles – Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One?
I'm not 'team PS4' or a PC elitist or anything like that. I think each system has something great to offer someone. I personally own a PS4 and Wii U and I like them both quite a bit. I currently don't have the money to buy an Xbox One but I do plan to get one in the future. Like I mentioned, I'm a collector - 'gotta catch 'em all' mentality.
What are your thoughts on the gaming industry?
The gaming industry as a whole, I think, is doing fine. I will be honest, I do tend to lean towards indie games now-a-days, just because they are more innovative, but I do like the bigger name titles. I'm glad that companies like Sony, Microsoft, and Steam are letting independent developers offer games on their systems/sites. It gives people something new to play at a decent price, at all times. The only complaint I have is that these DLC packs are starting to get a tad ridiculous, case and point, Mass Effect. I'm a huge fan of the series, but to purchase all the DLC for just the second game alone costs more than the physical game did at launch. If you want the 'full experience' you have to dish out the cash. I miss the old days of being able to unlock everything by beating a game. I understand with some games that it makes sense to have DLC options, like buying new characters in fighting games. But I think some of the games that offer DLC are misusing it.
10 years from now, where do you see the industry? Are you happy with that direction? If you had the power, what direction would you have the gaming industry go?
I see myself enjoying games just as much as I do now. I don't think I'll ever tire of new adventures. For the most part, I am happy with the general direction of the industry. I'm especially excited for some more 'virtual reality' gaming that is rumored to happen within the next few years. If I were in power, I don't think I would change much, like I said, I'm pretty happy with the way things are right now . . . maybe I would limit DLC releases and/or prices for DLC, but that would be about it.
Favorite Game (can include tabletop) of all time and why?
That's tough. I guess I would have to say Pokemon. It's a series I've played more than any other, and I still play all the new ones. It's a nostalgia thing. But I also really like Earth Worm Jim and Zombies Ate My Neighbors - again, both nostalgia titles.
